Uncircumcised men have a slightly higher risk of the head (glands) of their penis getting infected (balantitis).

You may occasionally notice a slight yellow to white discharge from the end (urethra) of the penis. You may also notice a slight soreness after intercourse. The end of the penis may be inflamed in a patchy pattern with scant white areas.

• To prevent infection from a sexual partner, use a condom.

• Keep the genital area dry and wear loose clothing.
